Red: as of blood, fire or the box of cheap Cabernet Sauvignon waiting for you at home.

The color of extremes: love and excitement. Violence and rage. It's the color of danger that once triggered our primal instincts. Today, it's the color of the bouquet of roses we give to our loved ones. Subsequently, it's the color we resonate with when said loved ones have failed us.

But red can also signify empowerment. Dress her in red and she is bold and intimidating.

Yellow: as of sun, lemons or...

the passive aggressive post-it note your roommate left you.

Of all the colors, yellow is the most luminous. Associated with warmth and happiness. It is the morning sun and runny yolks.   Although despite its' happy trademarks, it is also the color of caution or physical illness, but once we have endured these tribulations we are met with optimism yet again.

In yellow, she is the portrayal of unadulterated joy. She is sunshine on a rainy day. She illuminates the room.

Blue: as of water, sky and the blue jeans you grew out of.

Blue is the color we embrace as heaven and peace. Blue calms the psyche. But just as much as blue calms, it also stirs. It is the color of rain or the empty feeling in the pit of our stomach. Blue is the movement of water and whatever form it takes. At times it is still, tranquil, or just the calm before the storm. However unpredictable it is, we face it with grace.

Dress her in blue and she is ethereal. She is graceful and dainty. She is a breath of fresh air.
